HiSmile’s Day and Night Toothpaste
Full Review – Day and Night Toothpaste
The Day and Night Toothpaste provides you with a dual step process that HiSmile claims “gently whitens and protects your teeth’.
The daytime toothpaste is formulated to remove stains that build up during the day and helps to clean, just as a toothpaste should.
It has a micro shield wax that helps protect your teeth in the day and has some antibacterial benefits.
At night, the black tube gently whitens your teeth by removing ‘surface stains’ and ‘removes plaque without damaging your teeth and gums’.
This combo toothpaste pack aims to maximise results in a gentle way.
Our Verdict
7.8/10
Pros
- Contains substle abrasives to gentle remove surface stains and whiten teeth.
- Micro-shield wax and antibacterial ingredients protecting teeth.
- Two tubes of toothpaste - one for day and night.
Cons
- Small toothpaste tubes which could be bigger.
- Price is a factor - fairly expensive for the amount of toothpaste you receive.

First Impressions
I really enjoyed the day time toothpaste, it was refreshing and gave me a good clean overall.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t so keen on the night time toothpaste but this is more of a personal opinion, I just don’t like using anything that resembles charcoal. I find it dirty and quite messy.
Thumbs up to the day part of the HiSmile Toothpaste combo, the night time not so much.

Packaging and Design
When i first picked up this Day and Night toothpaste combo by HiSmile was like ‘these guys are so good at creating a really attractive and eye-catching product!
Packaging is neat and simple, with a beautiful matte finish like most of their products have.
The size of the tubes are almost ‘cute’ and conveniently packed inside the cardboard box they come in.
The Day and Night toothpaste tubes are on the small size but are easy to store in your bathroom cupboard. Their flip lids work well to open and close providing a secure way to use the toothpaste.

HiSmile has created a really attractive toothpaste.. if that’s possible 🙂

Follow your dental hygiene routine as you normally would but just make sure you use the Day in the day and the Night in the evening. Simples!

Let the toothpaste you are using do the work and not apply any additional pressure.

The HiSmile Day and Night tubes are reasonably small.
Usage Timeline
-
Initial UsageCondition: Excellent
Impressed with the packaging and how it came.
Thought the tubes were on the small size but because there are two tubes so it's not that bad.
Day toothpaste tasted great and was refreshing. The Night toothpaste wasn't great, don't like having a mess to clean up around the sink.
-
2 Weeks of UseCondition: Great
I've really enjoyed using the day time toothpaste, so refreshing and clean.
The evening toothpaste is okay but I just don't like the lingering blackness that it leaves on the brush and around the sink. Quite messy overall.
The taste of the Night toothpaste is getting familiar as well so it's not all bad.
Overall happy with the combo toothpaste by HiSmile.
Price and Value
The retail price for this product is $16.99 but currently, at the time of reviewing this product, there is a 30% discount on offer online which brings it down to $11.90.
After using it I would say it’s reasonable and fair value if you can get a discount. $16.99 is slightly high for what you are getting.
Product update – A new and refreshed toothpaste is on offer at HiSmile.

HiSmile Day and Night Toothpaste
Overall
The Day and Night Toothpaste by HiSmile in 2020 I thought came in a great little package.
The tubes are small but offer enough toothpaste for a decent amount of time.
I definitely preferred the Daytime toothpaste over the Night-time one.
The night was just a little too messy for my liking.
I also thought the daytime toothpaste was much better tasting.
Price could be better but reasonable in my opinion for what you get but overall I like the concept of having two different kinds of toothpaste for your dental needs.
If whitening was your ultimate goal for using this product, I’d probably look at HiSmile’s New PAP+ Whitening kit.

HiSmile’s Pink Toothpaste
Full Review – Pink Toothpaste
This is HiSmiles standard toothpaste and has been formulated to “deliver a complete oral care solution for sensitive teeth”.
With a striking pink colour, fans of pink will love it!
HiSmile mentions that this toothpaste “remineralises tooth enamel and has antibacterial support for teeth and gums”.
Update – The Pink Toothpaste has been replaced with a brand new PAP+ Teeth Whitening Toothpaste.

Our Verdict
7.7/10
Pros
- It has a nice spearmint flavoured that isn't over powering
- My teeth felt good after brushing and they felt very clean and refreshed.
- Tube is 95g which is a perfect size, compact but plenty of toothpaste to use.
Cons
- Cost could be an issue for me - $14.99 is high for a 95g toothpaste tube.
- Pink colour won't suit everyone - striking, though in your face.
- The toothpaste seem to foam up dramatically while brushing. Quite full on!

First Impressions
From ordering to receiving this toothpaste, I was impressed. It was a simple process and the order came quickly.
I found the product worked reasonably well and had a good taste to it. The Pink colour wasn’t off-putting either.
I did find that the toothpaste really foamed up on a small amount of toothpaste used. A little unexpected but manageable.
The tube isn’t small, nor is it large. At 95g, it’s right in the middle of the road. Price was a consideration, but I’ll get to that later.
Packaging and Design
In the HiSmile way, this Pink Toothpaste comes in a beautiful box.
With all the necessary information on the pack, the packaging is tastefully designed and gives you that feel of quality.
The toothpaste tube is 95g in size and provides a good amount to work with.
If Pink is your colour then you are going to love this toothpaste by HiSmile. I’m not really a fan of pink in general but in this form, it’s not bad.
The lid function is easily operated and dispensing the toothpaste is effortless. I like that during my review and testing period I never put too much toothpaste on my brush. Less is best as they say!

Usage Timeline
-
Initial UsageCondition: Excellent
Lovely packaging by HiSmile and the pink is definitely different!
I found the toothpaste came out of the tube just the right speed and amount. The tube is 95g and is a compact and convenient size overall.
Initial brushing has been good. Clean and refreshing, though a lot of foam started to build up around the minute mark and I only used a small amount of the toothpaste.
Still getting used to the pink colour haha.
-
2 Weeks of UseCondition: Good
It's been a good experience using the Pink Toothpaste by HiSmile. After brushing, I've felt like my teeth are perfectly clean and there isn't any bad after taste or such.
Foam build up while brushing is a little issue, I feel it is quite overwhelming. I haven't been using a lot of toothpaste at a time so it must be the formula and ingredients used.
The tube size is sufficient and if you watch how much toothpaste you use at a time, then it lasts okay.
Price and Value
HiSmile’s Pink Toothpaste is priced at $14.99. However, at the moment you can get a 30% discount online.
The 30% discount brings this toothpaste down to $10.49. Again it represents reasonable value in my mind.
The size and type of toothpaste were considered when coming to this price and value conclusion. Without any whitening attributes, this toothpaste is competing against some tough competition that I’ve recently reviewed.
Overall
The Pink Toothpaste offered by HiSmile was good to try.
It provided a decent clean and the taste was invigorating, namely due to the foaming that occurred when I used the toothpaste.
It comes in a compact toothpaste tube that easily fits in the bathroom and stands upright well.
Price, I feel is a little high compared to some other, all-around oral health toothpaste like the Colgate Total 12.
The colour is vibrant and appealing and overall it’s a good addition to the HiSmile product line.
I’ll be reviewing the new PAP+ Whitening Toothpaste shortly, so stay tuned!
Does HiSmile’s Day and Night Toothpaste tempt you?
